Big Ape Media is a new and dynamic television and media company formed by two of Britain’s leading media figures, the husband and wife team, Stewart and Lucy Binns.
Stewart has been a media professional for over twenty-five years, specializing in historical documentaries, archive representation, acquisition and restoration, sports production and magazine programming. Stewart’s television awards include a BAFTA, a Peabody and a Grierson, four RTS awards, four Indies and over thirty other international television accolades.
Lucy Binns has worked in the media business for thirteen years. She worked at TWI for eleven years where she was Vice-President and Head of Global DVD Sales and recently at Octgaon CSI where she was Vice-President and Head of Global DVD, Inflight, Footage & Archive Sales.
Big Ape Media’s portfolio will reflect Stewart’s and Lucy’s experience and expertise. It will be a diverse company covering a range of skills and talents from television production in areas as diverse as documentaries, outside broadcasts and magazine programming to sales, distribution and representation in a wide range of media outlets from DVD, inflight and new media rights to international broadcast sales.
Big Ape Media is also developing a small group of new and emerging talent to add to its profile. The group includes presenters, composers, performers and media experts who will not only be at the beginning of their own careers but will also be involved in new productions, programmes and initiatives development by Big Ape Media.
