The South West UK Brussels Office, together with the Borough of Poole, have the pleasure to invite you to a one day event on EU support for the Creative Industries sector. The South West of England has a very strong creative industries sector, which is growing faster than the rest of the economy.

 

The event will inform stakeholders of EU project, policy and profiling opportunities for the creative industries and Mette Quinn, Policy Officer on Support for Innovation from DG Enterprise and Industry, will be present for the day. It will focus on the EU, regional and local policy context for supporting the creative industries. The regional and local policy context will look at educational provision and business support and the EU policy context will look at the overall strategy for growth and jobs and the Green Paper on Cultural and Creative Industries. The second half of the event will be composed of practical workshops looking at EU funding programmes that can be accessed by the Creative sector, including the Lifelong Learning Programme, the Culture and Media programmes and the Territorial Cooperation programmes.
