Save the Date – Pervasive Media Sandbox launch

29 November 2007

Pervasive computing is an emerging field, exploiting powerful new mobile devices, wireless networks and sensors to offers significant opportunities for new types of digital media content and services. To support South West businesses in exploring these new technologies, iShed, South West Screen and Futurelab are launching the Pervasive Media Sandbox, an integrated programme of Research and Development funding, events and business support.

Featuring leading industry players from the computing and communications sectors, the Pervasive Media Sandbox will launch with a day-long ideas workshop at Watershed, Bristol on 29 November 2007.  Participants will then be invited to submit formal proposals from which six successful projects will be selected for support and seed funding. The scheme will start in January 2008 and run for three months. Full details will be released later in October, to register for updates email info@ished.org.uk
